Join the Coalition
When municipalities become members of the Coalition of Inclusive Municipalities, they commit to investing time and resources to create more welcoming and inclusive communities as part of a network of cities seeking to improve policies against racism, discrimination, exclusion and intolerance.
Cities joining the Coalition of Inclusive Municipalities enjoy many benefits, including:
- access to a network of municipalities from different areas in Canada and around the world
- the opportunity to share experiences
- access to resources to help eliminate racism and other forms of discrimination

Steps to joining the Coalition
- Obtain support (including from your city/municipal council)
- Adopt a resolution to join the Coalition
- Sign the Declaration
- Inform the Canadian Commission for UNESCO
- Announce your involvement to your local partners and residents
